There is a time in high school when we all think about our futures and what we hoped to be one day.  I was always thinking about biotechnology.  It was a field that I wanted to explore and I did.  Every time there was an update, whether on Facebook or the home page of Bing, I would explore and I continue to do that today.  

There aren't many sites that actually give information about biotech companies in California or information about companies that offer internships to students.  If you want information about a company, then you have to look into the company specifically.  But this takes so long.  I remember when I was in high school, I was so busy with classes, sports, community involvement, and friends that I did not want to spend a lot of time researching into companies, or looking for internships.  Even in college, it is a cumbersome process to look for companies and apply for internships.  For this reason, I wanted to make a blog that gives some general information about biotech companies in California and the types of internships that they provide.  I will post two times a week and I hope to make this site useful for those who want to learn about biotechnology and those who want to find information about companies they can intern with.

As for myself, I am currently a bioengineering student at the University of the Pacific.  I am in my fourth and final year at Pacific (I can't wait to graduate).  In my spare time, I like to learn about emerging technologies that are out there in the world of bioengineering.  I also like to watch and play sports and am a huge fan of the San Francisco 49er's ( GO Niner's!!)
