Gilead Sciences is a California based biotech company that has produced many new treatment options for individuals that are suffering from diseases that currently have no cure. For example, Gilead has obtained FDA approval for Viread® (tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, or TDF). This drug has shown great promise in helping those struck with HIV fight the infection. The drug has gotten past its clinical trials and will soon be launched by the company.
